Britain is now truly in the midst of the general election campaign: the politicians are touring the country in their brightly coloured buses and trying to grab headlines by drip-feeding us high profile policies, all to secure your votes on 7th May.
Although the major parties have released details of many of their big policies already, we are still waiting to see the full manifestos. It will be interesting to see what environmental commitments are made in these documents. In the meantime, the IES is investigating what the main policies and pledges of the political parties are in relation to science and the environment. We will submit a series of questions to each party, giving them the opportunity to explain their policies, and their responses will be published on the IES website, giving you the opportunity to compare and contrast.
As part of this process we want to ask the politicians about the issues which matter to IES members. So, we want to hear what questions you would like to ask the political parties. The most popular questions and issues will be included in our questionnaire to the parties.
Please send your questions to the political parties to robert@the-ies.org, or share them in our LinkedIn group by Wednesday 15th April.
