Earlier this year, we surveyed our members to help us understand how the environmental science sector has been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, and to explore additional measures to help support our members during this time. The findings of this initial survey were published in our Covid-19 Impact Report in April.

We are aware that this is an ever-changing situation and, as such, to help us to better understand the overall impact of the pandemic on the environmental science sector, and how members’ personal and professional circumstances have evolved throughout this period, a follow-up survey was circulated to our professional members in September. This report aims to summarise the findings of that survey, and to provide a comparison with the results of the initial survey conducted in April.  

The results of this survey will also help us to make informed decisions about, and to tailor, the advice and services we provide to our members in response to the pandemic.
