This webinar will explore the findings and recommendations from the IES & ALGE BNG in Practice: 1 Year On report.

In this talk EPIC Policy Officer Ellie Savage and members from the IES & ALGE BNG working group will provide an overview of the report's key findings, including on stacking with other schemes, exemptions, BNG information requirements, small sites, off-site market and monitoring and enforcement of BNG. They will explain the report's recommendations for Defra, Natural England, local government, as well as professional bodies. This webinar will also see the launch of a new BNG in Practice event series.

Ellie Savage

Ellie Savage is a Policy Officer with the IES. She is responsible for supporting the work of the IES’s Environmental Policy Implementation Community (EPIC) and leads the BNG in Practice project working group. Before joining the IES, Ellie led on local government policy and research at a climate change and democratic engagement charity. She has a BA in Politics and Economics from the University of Sheffield and is interested in how to influence environmental policy at the local level.
