Nominations are now open for the Chartered Environmentalist of the Year Awards 2014, sponsered by Society for the Environment and we are inviting IES members to submit their nominations.

Last year's winner was David Stubbs, who the award for his work as Head of Sustainability for the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (LOCOG) - the London Olympics 2012. The award regonisese outstanding achievements of individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, knowledge application, and a personal commitment to society, the profession and the environment.  

Nominations
If you would like to submit a nomination, please provide a citation of up to 500 words setting out major achievements, and giving evidence of how the nominee’s professional practice has made a real difference to protecting, preserving or enhancing the environment and advancing the principles of sustainability.   Additional evidence and supporting detail may be provided, but nominations should not exceed a single page of A4 and should not include hyperlinks or references to external documents.

The Awards will be judged by an eminent panel and announced and presented at the Society for the Environment’s Summer Reception on 24 June.

Nominations need to be recieved Monday 24th of March.
