If you’ve encountered a stand-out Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), a Registered Environmental Practitioner (REnvP) or a Registered Environmental Technician (REnvTech) this year, who has shown a particular dedication, commitment, or innovation in their role, help them to get some well-deserved recognition and acclaim. Nominate them for a SocEnv award by Wednesday 17th April 2024 at 9am, and get their name in the running!
There are two SocEnv awards up for nominations: the Rising Star category and the 2024 Environmental Professional of the Year category. There might be an early-career professional who’s made a particular mark on you by demonstrating a novel and unique approach to addressing an environmental concern, or someone more established in their line of work who has gone above and beyond their responsibilities to take action where it’s needed: either way, your nominee can be in with a chance of winning.
There is one main criterion that nominees must meet to be eligible for the awards:they must be a registered CEnv, REnvP or REnvTech, although anyone can submit the nomination (self-nominations are accepted too).
Rising Star nominees must have registered with SocEnv on or after January 1st 2022, and must be in the early stages of their career (0-10 years). Nominees for Environmental Professional of the Year 2024 must have registered with SocEnv before January 2023.
In order to nominate an outstanding environmental professional for an award, you’ll need to fill out and submit a nomination form via the relevant SocEnv Zealous platform. Please note full entry conditions and criteria are listed on these linked pages.

Each nomination form will ask you to detail different aspects of the nominee’s professional achievements, their dedication to their work, and their commitment to protecting, preserving or enhancing the environment. The judging process will take into account a number of competencies demonstrated by the nominee (further details can be found on this SocEnv website page).
