The Science Council is a charitable body that sets standards for practicing scientists, through professional registration.

Working in partnership with 36 science professional bodies, and a range of other stakeholders, the Science Council celebrates the UK’s scientific workforce at all levels, highlights challenges in this workforce and undertakes targeted developments in prioritised areas. 

Technical education and associated career routes are a priority area within Science Council activity. The collaborative project that this role will lead has been made possible by grant funding from the Gatsby Foundation.  

We are looking for an experienced individual to manage this project and two direct reports. You will communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and ensure the project produces lasting legacies.

The ideal candidate will have experience of: project and people management; building and maintaining productive relationships with organisations and stakeholder groups; working with volunteers; reporting through governance structures; and preparing project communications that are tailored for the audience and for the communication channel. You will be solutions-focused and you will work with integrity.

Note that this role is 0.6FTE.
