We have two new opportunities available to students through the free IES student membership offered to all students enrolled on IES-accredited programmes. These new opportunities aim to support the development of valuable skills and increase engagement with the professional sector.
Student Ambassador Scheme
We are seeking one or two student ambassadors per university to strengthen the relationship between CHES, the IES, and our student members. As an ambassador, you will represent the IES at your university, host events for fellow students on IES-accredited programmes, and take part in consultations on issues related to student experience and membership.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to increase your interaction with the professional community and boost your CV as a burgeoning environmental scientist.
Find more details about the role here, and click here to submit your application (you must be logged in to access the form. If the page is blank, you are not logged in).
Applications will close on 15th December 2020.
Blog series
Showcase your experience of studying for an environmental science or related programme by submitting an article to our new blog series. We would like to hear about your experience of university so far and any internships or volunteering you may have done, with the aim of informing potential future environmental scientists about what studying environmental science at university is like and provide insight to students at the beginning of their university journey about what they can expect.
Blogs should be roughly 500 words in length. All blogs will be posted to the IES website alongside a short biography and picture. Your blog will be available to read by our professional members, making this an excellent opportunity to introduce yourself to the industry.
