The Science Council, along with 11 partner organisations, has launched its Showcasing Science initiative today. The initiative highlights the important work being done by scientists from across the disciplinary range during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through a series of blog posts, detailing the experiences, research, and stories of scientists, the Science Council is showcasing the wide-ranging impact of science and offers a behind-the-scenes look into how the scientific community has been working through these unprecedented times. 

Stories in the series include: 

• Air pollution in lockdown;
• Managing food safety during COVID-19;
• The world of medical science; 
• and many more. 

Helen Gordon, CEO of the Science Council said: “I am so pleased to be able to highlight and showcase the extraordinary work of scientists during COVID-19. Showcasing Science has allowed us to share and make visible the impact of the science workforce across sectors.”
