Become a CEnv Assessor with the IES

This summer, we are recruiting new Chartered Environmentalists (CEnv) to join our team of voluntary CEnv Assessors to support the assessment of our increasing volume of CEnv applications.

This is an excellent opportunity for current Chartered Environmentalists within the IES to further their involvement with us as a professional body, gain valuable interview experience, demonstrate their seniority, and give back to the sector.

As a CEnv Assessor, you will sit on the interview review panel for our CEnv in a Day workshops. This role will provide you with an opportunity to solidify your understanding of the Chartership process, uphold professional standards across a broad spectrum of environmental science disciplines and expand your knowledge of the innovative work emerging throughout the sector. It also offers a valuable contribution to your Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Training will be conducted as a morning workshop, with locations to be determined by the amount of interest from members across various regions.

Previous CEnv assessors have said…

“Supporting the IES by acting as a CEnv Assessor has been enjoyable and rewarding. The interview process is also a reminder of the wide range of skills and knowledge of the candidates who contribute to a more sustainable world. I always go away having learnt something new.”

To apply, you must be a current IES member and have held CEnv registration for at least 2 years.
