The IES extends its congratulations to the University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol, who have won two of the three prestigious International Green Gown Awards. 

These awards recognise exceptional sustainability initiatives being undertaken by further and higher education institutions. The Green Gown Awards are held regionally in the UK & Ireland, Australasia, and French speaking Europe and Canada, and winners of each region then compete for the International Green Gown Awards. UWE Bristol won the Continuous Improvement Award for their project detailing their sustainability action plan for 2013-2020, and the Student Engagement Award for a joint project with the University of Bristol, which described a city-wide cross-university partnership programme.
