The Royal Society have launched their annual photography competition, celebrating the communication of science to wider audiences.
This year the competition is split into five categories, including one for ecology and environmental science, as well as earth science and climatology, micro-imaging, behaviour and astronomy.
The overall winner of the competition will win £500, and winners of the individual categories receive £250.
