More diesel revelations at Routes to Clean Air 2015

We are pleased the present the first in a series of talks from the IAQM's much-acclaimed air quality conference, Routes to Clean Air.

In this video, Dr James Tate (Institute for Transport, University of Leeds) delivers his highly topical presentation on 'Real Driving Emissions' with surprising results from his latest remote testing campaign.

In his presentation James released data which shows that all major manufacturers are currently producing cars which emit NOx at levels greater than EU limit values. One manufacturer in particular however stands out from the crowd. In this data Vauxhall is identified as emitting NOx at twice the level of other manufacturers, a trend which Dr Tate argues needs explaining.

These findings received significant media attention, including a major story appearing in the Times, as well as articles in the Daily Mailthe ENDS report, and other specialist publications.

Interview: Dr James Tate speaks to IAQM Vice Chair Dr Claire Holman about his talk and explains in more detail, what we can learn from his diesel emission test results.
