The IES is delighted to announce the launch of the Professional Bodies Climate Action Charter, led by E3G. The IES has been part of a small group of professional bodies who drafted the Charter and will be speaking at the launch event, taking place on the 1st July at London Climate Action Week.
The Charter aims to leverage greater collective ambition on climate action through interdisciplinary coordination. This is a key aspect of the IES’ work in the STAGES on the road to COP26 - we know that collaboration and partnership is integral to achieving the transformative change needed to achieve climate ambitions.
The Charter outlines principles designed to provide a guide to high-quality climate action and to lay the foundations for developing a more impactful collective voice to policy-makers.
The IES is currently a supporter of the Charter, alongside the Society for the Environment, Royal Society for Chemistry, Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, Professional Associations Research Network and Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
