On 8th December the House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee published the report of its recent inquiry into UK air quality. The report, entitled 'Action on Air Quality', is the result of the third EAC inquiry on air quality in five years, to which the Institute of Air Quality Management and Institution of Environmental Sciences submitted written evidence. Many of the recommendations made, notably the need for a new Air Quality Strategy, reflect points consistently raised by the IAQM over the past few years.
The IAQM and IES have highlighted some of the key findings of the inquiry and express their support for many of the committee's recommendations in the following press release.
