The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a huge amount of uncertainty across the environmental sector and has impacted organisations in many ways. For some, this has been an opportunity for incredible innovation and adaptation, and leading collaborations can be seen across the sector. However, many charities and learned societies, like the IES, have been hit hard by the current circumstances. 

We are continuing to transition our busy events calendar to an online version, bringing you easily accessible CPD opportunities, expanding our webinar programme to deliver more webinars in 2020 than ever before, migrating all Chartership workshops online and continuing to trial innovative ideas to enhance our membership services. 

We want to maintain this momentum and make sure we provide new, valuable opportunities for our members to help you gain new skills, develop interests and progress in your careers throughout this challenging period. 

We are responding to the needs of our members by enhancing our mentoring scheme and free careers services, developing training opportunities, providing support to those experiencing redundancy, and focussing on enhancing equity, diversity and inclusion across the sector.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we receive no government funding and rely fully on the support from our members and other limited funding sources. Without your support we could not make the impact we do with our sector leading projects, research and membership services. Your generosity will allow us to continue our innovative and inspirational support for the well-being of humanity and the environment, now and in the future.
