Land condition is now the largest specialism within our membership with professionals working in positions as diverse as consultancy, geo-environmental engineering and remediation.
In 2017, we established the Land Condition Community as a way of providing more tailored membership services to support this group.
On the 21st January, we hosted our first meeting for the Land Condition Early Careers Network, an initiative established by the community as a way to support land condition members in the early stages of their career, providing them with a platform to develop key skills, gain valuable CPD and network with peers, discussing common challenges faced within this specialism.
Adam Sokolowski, Associate Director at TRC Solutions, was our Keynote speaker kicking off the first meeting by discussing what the "Anatomy of a Brownfield Specialist" looks like, and key skills that are currently desired by many employers within the sector. Three early-career professionals, Rachel Vojvodic, Marianne Brett and Jill Thompson then presented short presentations on a selection of projects they have been involved in.
All presentation slides are now available on our SlideShare account.
This member-led network which will meet twice annually in various locations across the country, continuing to provide a platform for members to develop key skills.
