We would like to begin with a HUGE thank you to those of you who have participated in the Diversity Initiative's research project so far. We are beginning to analyse the trends we've explored through initial interviews with practitioners and environmental professionals, and build on our understanding of the diversity and inclusion practices of the organisations who took part in our first survey. We've gathered some amazing insights so far and we are excited to explore the results!
We are excited to announce that we are now moving on to phase two of our data collection. This phase involves:
1) Talking to Diversity and Inclusion Champions to understand your ambitions, what you advocate for and what challenges you face in achieving your goals as a champion.
2) Talking to Senior Managers and Directors to understand your strategy for embedding inclusion and to hear your views on how the sector can collaborate and support to achieve this.
In August, we will reach phase three, where we will be asking all individuals, regardless of ethnicity or background, to complete an anonymous survey on their own experiences in the environmental sector. This email and survey link will be heading your way in August 2021.
