This has led to advances in technology, such as smart motorways; enabling traffic to flow better. However, even more is yet to be done.

Atkins is seeking a Senior, Principal or Associate level consultant with a strong technical, people, stakeholder and project management skillset for a secondment opportunity with HS2.

The secondment would initially be for up to one year with the possibility of extension beyond this. On completion of the secondment, opportunities would exist within the Air Quality and Emissions team within Atkins’ Infrastructure division and the team would be available to provide support on air quality tasks during the secondment.

Working in the Reading Office, the successful candidate will have an excellent opportunity to contribute to a variety of air quality assessments. Day-to- day responsibilities will include preparation of fee proposals for air quality assessments; completion of air quality assessments; dispersion modelling using ADMS Road, Breeze Roads, AERMOD and similar software packages; and writing client reports.
