The She Is Sustainable team are pleased to be able to offer another of their popular workshops for early career women. These workshops are a chance to spend a day with an inspiring group of women working in civil society, government and business settings; reflect and plan careers and lives; and build lasting connections and support networks.
A previous participant has said, “I came away from the event feeling extremely inspired to do more, full of confidence and much more reassured about my career/life in general.”
At the event, you will hear from speakers including Estelle Dehon KC, a trailblazing barrister; Tessa Khan, the founder of campaigners Uplift; and Navroza Ladha, senior leader at Natural England; and Larissa Kunstel-Tabet, Head of the Climate Solutions Catalyst at Imperial College among others. They will talk about women’s experiences and styles of work; how women approach work and other life commitments and passions; and the pros and cons of different career paths.
The agenda is kept flexible, allowing you to talk through the dilemmas and opportunities that each of us encounter in our walks of life. Expect to leave with handfuls of ideas, connections and confidence. This event is being generously hosted by the Grantham Institute at Imperial College London. The day-long session will be followed by an informal gathering and food at a nearby venue.
She is Sustainable is a volunteer-led nonprofit, and make a small charge of £60 to cover catering and administration costs. If this is beyond your reach, please let She is Sustainable know, as they do have a limited number of bursaries available. They are happy to provide a letter explaining how this event contributes to your professional development, so that your employers support your attendance. Numbers are limited to 30, and based on previous events, they expect high demand, so book early.
