Environmental science brings together a multitude of traditional scientific disciplines, social science and emerging disciplines to understand the natural world and solve environmental challenges. At the core of environmental science are key concepts such as interdisciplinarity, systems thinking and delivery which provide lessons and frameworks for all scientists to think about how their science can be configured to solve grand challenges.

About the series
Four engaging Science Council Lunch & Learn sessions will be held to to coincide with British Science Week 2025. British Science Week provides a chance to celebrate the diverse people and careers in science and engineering and we’re very excited to be bringing some fantastic speakers to you to cover four fascinating topics.
