Rebecca is an Associate Director with Ricardo Energy & Environment, managing project delivery and providing sustainable solutions to varying markets. Working closely with the board and other senior executives, she leads professional consultancy services across the country providing pragmatic and flexible advice on projects for a range of clients. Throughout her 26-year career, Rebecca has led a diverse portfolio of complex, high profile, multi-disciplinary projects for consultancies in the UK and United States. Previously, she was Environmental Manager with High Speed Two (HS2) Ltd managing and assuring the environmental assessment work of internal staff teams and over 3,000 technical consultants producing the Environmental Statement for the hybrid Bill. This also included working closely with key statutory bodies and DfT on the parliamentary requirements to manage the report and develop HS2’s environmental policies and standards.
With her proven track record in environmental consulting, management, marketing and business development, Rebecca has been Director of Environment for an engineering consultancy in the United States working on large scale infrastructure projects. As manager of business operations and development for several SMEs, she has commercial awareness and experience improving their business model for growth and profitability.
Rebecca brings knowledge and demonstrable skills to enable the IES to build a name and influence in policy making circles and supports and champions ED&I. She was elected to Council at the 2019 AGM and re-elected for a second term in 2022.
