Are you an Air Quality or Environmental Consultant looking for a new challenge? If this is you we have a great opportunity for you to join our Environmental team.

MLM work on a wide range of projects in the UK marketplace offering multidisciplinary services for planning support and engineering design. The business has steadily grown over the past 50 years and has progressively diversified its market offering to meet the emerging needs of our clients.

We are looking for a Senior Air Quality Consultant to be based in either our London, Chelmsford or Cambridge offices as well as an Air Quality Consultant to be based in either London or Chelmsford.

You will be joining a busy and diverse environmental consulting team which has fully embedded into the multi-disciplinary business across the company. Our projects range from major residential and mixed-use schemes, large masterplans and transport infrastructure to energy-related projects. We are also currently involved a mix of indoor and outdoor air quality monitoring (including construction dust) projects.

You will have an environmental based degree and already have relevant consultancy experience in both transport and industrial air quality modelling in the UK market. You will have practical expertise in air quality modelling including use of ADMS, AERMOD and DMRB as well as a good understanding of LAQM and the UK planning and regulatory system. You will be proficient in data analysis and interpretation, have good GIS skills (ArcGIS or MapInfo) and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will have experience of working with passive and continuous air quality monitoring equipment. You will work collaboratively as part of a wider team of other professionals (e.g. environmental consultants, engineers and planners) across the MLM Group, to provide an integrated service to our clients.

You will have proven experience of manging projects and work within and define, deadlines and budgets. For the senior role you will be able to provide support, train and mentor junior members of the team.

Understanding of project finances and the ability to provide support on bids and business development will be an added advantage. There will be travel to other MLM offices, client/team meetings and sites so a valid driving licence is required.
